Taraba State Opens new Portal for 2026 CSC Recruitment

The Taraba State Civil Service Commission (CSC) wishes to inform candidates and the general public that it has opened a new portal it’s ongoing recruitment of civil servants in the State. The initial portal was closed due to some circumstances and to enable applicants to have seamless applications. The commission apologised for the convenience caused by the change of portal.

What applicants should know about the Taraba State Civil Service Commission

It has been long that the Taraba State Government opens jobs recruitment portal due to the embargo put by the State State Government His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, now the the the ban has been lifted indigenes of the State should try to apply for this big opportunity to secure your employment in the Civil Service.

Successful candidates employed will be posted to various Ministries, Deparment and Agencies (MDAs) that are under the Taraba State Civil Service Commission.

Qualifications, Eligibility and Requirements

The general Requirements and eligibility for the recruitment are highlighted below:

The minimum qualification for the vacancies are SSCE, OND, ND, NCE, HND, B.Sc, M.Sc, MA/MS, or equivalent. Applicants with SSCE certificate are the ones to be employed as labourers, drivers, porters, messengers etc. While National Diploma holders will be posted as clerks, technicians, technologist, secretaries etc. Bachelors degree and HND graduates will be posted to their duty stations as officers with grade level 8.
Candidates must possess NYSC certificate or Discharge/Exemption letter. This is only for graduates that is Bachelor’s degree and HND applicants. other certificates holders such as SSCE, NCE and Diploma has no issue with NYSC.
Applicants age must be between 18 to 35 years. This age range is a great advantage to candidates with older age yet to secure a government employment.
You must be an indigene of Taraba State to be eligible for application and must provide a valid indigene Certificate. Due to the fact that there is high rate of unemployment in the State necessitate to restrict the employment to only Tarabans.
Applicants must be a computer literate and provide a recognised certificate. Having computer literacy will really put you ahead of others without.

Primary school leaving certificate
SSCE results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc).
Highest qualifications such as bachelors degree, HND, NCE etc.
NYSC certificate/exemption letter for graduate vacancies.
Computer literacy certificate
National Identification Number (NIN)
Indigeneship Certificate (State or Local Government).

I will advised applicants to take note of the following tips for successful application and securing the employment.

Make sure to apply with genuine credentials and personal information as providing fake details will lead to disqualification since from the initial screening stage.
Use a functional email address and phone number as these are the primary address and contact for reaching you.
When filling the application form, pay attention every data your are typing and cross-check everything before final submission. In case of giving third party (cyber café ) to apply for you, make sure they show you the final details before they submit the application.
Print/download your application/acknowledgement slip and keep it safe or save it on your Google drive to avoid missing.
After the closing of application portal, try to be checking the portal regularly for update concerning the next stage of the recruitment such as CBT/aptitude test examination and screening.
When shortlisted for examination go along with all the required documents and be at the venue at least 30 minutes before time.

Never applied with fake documents or credentials.
Don’t use someone’s email address or phone number during application.
Cross-check your details before final submission.
Never submit multiple applications as it will detected by the computer system.
Submit your application within the stipulated recruitment period.

Important Notice

Candidates should note that only candidates who fulfilled the recruitment criteria will shortlisted and contacted for the CBT examination.
